This week had it all - from me getting much needed haircut to bollywood songs in Vancouver skating rings. I have never been a big fan of applauding any effort to bring India in picture; let it be either yoga, bollywood or much celebrated Sanjay Gupta. But medley of least carefully selected mp3s running on 28k bit rate was too much. I have no rights to point fingers on the naivety of whoever did this and I definitely don't want them look bad. But come on, please do something else to look different. I don't know if you win gold/silver or even a bronze, just don't do it.
Speaking of winter Olympics, have you noticed the size of medals? They can easily outsize the pumpkin pie I was offered the other day. Not that I want to eat medals, which athletes seem to do anyway; it would definitely serve as better dinner than my Cheerios I am eating currently. Bigger medal size might have to do with moral of player whom are constantly receiving sarcasm for this not being real Olympics. Bigger medals certainly make a good case for it.
I can't just stop talking about 2010 games. First gold winner for USA said she only came to win gold. Objection! Not fair! She seems to believe losers like me come to win silver at best, gold is her property. If they'd let loser to speak, they will say something similar, then why mislead 6 billion people? I have one more story to share about games, but I will keep it under the rugs for the time being.
Indian cricket team seems to be pulling things back as evident by recent Kolkata test victory against visiting South Africa. I feel bad about them as they are definitely better team, but team India has to win it to keep much controversial #1 test team status. You can never overestimate what Indian team is capable of doing to get the result they want, it's just they are not always motivated enough. I bet 1st April ICC #1 prize might have something to do with it.
I recently bought a nettop/htpc. Acer revo (product page). They were on $5 off deal and I couldn't resist it. What I wanted to buy was Dell Zino HD, but heard this one is as good if not better. Now I finally have one PC, and I can use software like mobicreator and make my life more meaningful.
